This is the first week of the collaboration class with The Mill. During the week I got to know my teammates Alexis Behilo, Nathan Huseth, and Michelle Rojas Ortega.
After we got to know each other, we all had the similar idea of making a vehicle commercial that is set in a neon, cyberpunk, and futuristic style city. Therefore, we all did our own researches on references images of the city, different kind of vehicles, and FX that we want to create.
Here are the mood boards that I created.
After we gather our mood boards, ideas of the storylines and location scouting, we decided that we wanted to make a futuristic motorcycle, which is based on Ducati's concept car Zero, driving and drifting in front of the Jen Library and then goes into a portal that leads to an alley way at downtown Savannah of the present day. We will also be adding set extensions like Neon signs, and holograms on top of the Jen Library to create a futuristic world.
Here are the Pre-Vis
Here is the Pre-Vis video with the camera position we decided.
This is a very rough sketch of the FX Pre-Vis.
Here are some more reference videos of the FX and overall aesthetic we want to create.
